Catacombs. Journey to the underground world.
For present time the only possible way to catacombs for tourist attraction open in s. Nerubayskoe, 15 km from Odessa. History of Odessa catacombs began more than 200 years ago, when it was quarry, where was getting a stone to built the city, in XIX century it was a shelter for robbers and smugglers, in XX century – for the revolutionaries, partisans and population of the city during Second World War. Similar underground caves exist only in Rome and Paris. However, if the total length of the Roman catacombs is about 800km, Paris is about 300km, the length of Odessa catacombs is estimated at approximately 2 500km.

Vilkovo – Ukrainian countryside

Vilkovo is a part of Ukrainian Danube Biosphere Reserve (participant of UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites). The town was founded in 1746 and built on silt and sand islands, so people could move only by boats. That is why it’s called “the Ukrainian Venice”.
